Giving Back to Our Community

As a company, we make generosity a priority. Even though we?ve been able to remain open and continue on large ongoing projects, our customer base has been limited. Knowing that many families are experiencing difficulty, we wanted to come up with a way to help at least five of them in some small way. Finding those who needed help seemed to be an overwhelming task, until we had an idea. Reaching out on social media, we asked others to nominate a family they knew could use a little help.


After receiving nominations for almost a week, we knew we had some hard decisions to make. Our owner, Lucas Farrand, decided he wanted to help 7 families. After personally contacting each family, we were able to find out exactly what their needs were. We were able to pay utility bills for 2 single moms, we made a mortgage payment, purchased Chromebooks for students now relying on them for school work, we gave gift cards for groceries, gas, pharmacies and more. We also filled summer buckets with outside toys and treats for the kids.

Jeff and Sunday Burquest, who are new to our team, had the pleasure of packaging and delivering the baskets and gift cards. They spent a full Saturday delivering items to families all across the Twin Cities Metro area. The joy of seeing the kids excitedly pull things out of the baskets as well as the tears in the eyes of the overwhelmed moms, made every minute of generosity worth the effort. We will continue to look for unique ways to help others in our community.
